Alice Into The Woods
A cabin in the woods is a dream. Artists I know have described their forest fantasies at length . I'm obsessed with the countryside: woods, forests, fields, lakes, mountains. I'm really into folk music and folklore.
I’ll go out on a limb and say all weirdo-beardos who give their bands names like The Wilderness of Manitoba want to live in the bush . Which brings me to the most unforeseeable necessity of giving up on society: temperament.
Time changes everything except something within us which is always surprised by change . Time is what we want most, but what we use worst. If you spend too much time thinking about a thing, you'll never get it done.
Lost - yesterday, somewhere between sunrise and sunset , two golden hours, each set with sixty diamond minutes. No reward is offered, for they are gone forever.
My art is an attempt to reach beyond the surface appearance . I want to see growth in wood, time in stone, nature in a city, and I do not mean its parks but a deeper understanding that a city is nature too-the ground upon which it is built, the stone with which it is made.
Time is a sort of river of passing events, and strong is its current; no sooner is a thing brought to sight than it is swept by and another takes its place , and this too will be swept away.
